Full terms of service and payment (page 2 of the order)

§1 Scope of the order

  1. The Contractor carries out the work described on page 1 of the order. The quote is an estimate; the final account is based on the time actually worked and the parts used.
  2. Work outside the scope is carried out only with the Client’s approval, sent by e-mail or WhatsApp. Without further approval the Contractor may carry out work up to the amount stated on page 1.
  3. If diagnosis reveals a fault other than the one reported, the Contractor informs the Client and proposes further work before starting it.
  4. The order does not cover main engines and gearboxes. The Contractor may refuse work that would endanger people or the vessel.

§2 Rates and working time

  1. A working day covers up to 8 hours and is charged at 420 EUR net.
  2. Each started hour over 8 hours on the same day is charged extra – 60 EUR net per hour.
  3. The arrival day and the departure day are charged at 120 EUR net per travel day.
  4. Working time runs from arrival on board until the end of work on that day, including diagnosis, measurements and tests.

§3 Travel costs

  1. Flights, accommodation and local transport are booked and paid for by the Contractor. The Client pays 100% of their cost in advance, in the amount stated in the quote; booking is made once the payment is received.
  2. Travel costs are not re-invoiced. The Client receives the booking confirmations and proof of purchase. At the Client’s request, tickets and accommodation are bought with an invoice issued directly to the Client.
  3. Rebooking costs caused by a change of date requested by the Client are borne by the Client.

§4 Deposit and payments

  1. Before work starts the Client pays a deposit of 50% of the estimated labour value. The Contractor starts work once the deposit is received.
  2. The balance is due on completion, within 7 days of the invoice, by bank transfer: IBAN IT07 C360 9201 6000 4822 5139 026, BIC/SWIFT QNTOITM2XXX. Please quote the order number as the payment reference.
  3. For work spanning more than one trip, the Contractor may issue partial invoices after each stage.
  4. In case of late payment the Contractor may charge statutory late-payment interest and suspend further work until the balance is paid.

§5 Parts and materials

  1. Parts and materials are not included in the labour rate. They are charged separately, according to purchase invoices.
  2. More expensive parts are ordered after the deposit or advance payment of their value has been received.
  3. Small installation materials (terminals, sleeves, cable ties, short lengths of cable) are charged according to use.
  4. The Contractor gives no warranty on parts supplied by the Client and is not responsible for their compatibility with the installation.

§6 Working conditions and waiting time

  1. The Client provides access to the vessel at the agreed times and, where possible, shore power and safe access to the work areas.
  2. Waiting time for reasons beyond the Contractor’s control – e.g. no access to the vessel, parts supplied by the Client not available, no decision, or conditions that prevent safe work – counts as working time.
  3. The Client agrees to shore power, batteries or the generator being disconnected during the work and informs the Contractor of known faults in the installation.

§7 Cancellation and rescheduling

  1. If the order is cancelled or postponed, travel costs that cannot be refunded or changed are borne by the Client.
  2. If cancelled less than 48 hours before departure, the Client also pays 1 day of labour (420 EUR net).
  3. The labour deposit paid, less the above costs, is refunded or credited towards the new date.

§8 Handover

  1. On completion the parties sign a handover report describing the work done, the parts replaced and the test results; it may also be sent by e-mail.
  2. The Client reports any remarks on the work within 3 days of handover. After that the work is deemed accepted without reservation.

§9 Warranty and liability

  1. The Contractor gives a 12-month warranty on labour from handover. Parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
  2. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, overload, flooding, lightning or third-party interference.
  3. The Contractor is not liable for pre-existing faults or for equipment he did not work on.

§10 Final provisions

  1. All prices are net; VAT is added where due.
  2. Photos taken during the work document the order. They may be used for promotion only with the Client’s consent.
  3. The Client’s data are processed only to carry out the order and issue the invoice, in line with the GDPR.
  4. Changes to the order must be made in writing, including by e-mail or WhatsApp.
